- Video session on phacoemulsification - presentation by Dr. Atul
Mishra: Tackling the cortex at 12-O-Clock using the Symcoe Canula.
- Video session on phacoemulsification - presentation by Dr. Shabbir
Husain: Demonstrated the 4 quadrant technique for handling the nucleus,
and phacoemulsification in case of posterior polar cataract in young
and old patients.
- Posterior segment case presentation by Dr. Ravin N. Das: A case
of Gyrate Atrophy was presented in a 10 year old male child. The case
had some unique characteristics:
- Serum ornithine levels were normal.
- Color vision and night vision normal.
- Best corrected visual acuity with astigmatic correction of -1.75
@ 5 degrees and -1.75 @ 165 degrees was 6/18 both eyes.
- Hyperlysinemia
- Foveal schisis demonstrated on OCT.
